A PROPERTY mogul’s estranged wife yesterday denied paying a hitman to kill him.
Tania Richardson- Ruhan, 49, told a divorce hearing she went to cops offering to be quizzed over an alleged murder plot on Andy Ruhan, 55.
His partner, seeking part of his reported £200million, said: “They didn’t accuse me of anything.”
Mrs Richardson-Ruhan, of Chalfont St Peter, Bucks, said she was on holiday when a pal texted her about a plot to “assassinate” him.
She went to cops after the pal suggested they could nab her, she told London’s high court. They held a number of men in 2016 but charged none.
Her lawyers accuse Mr Ruhan of “pleading poverty”.
Barrister Sally Harrison QC, who is leading Mrs Richardson-Ruhan’s legal team, told the judge: ‘’You will have to decide whether the husband, who on any account has been a phenomenally successful entrepreneur, has fallen spectacularly from grace so that now he has nothing.’’
Miss Harrison indicated it would be ‘’almost impossible’’ for Mrs Richardson-Ruhan, who still lives in Chalfont St Peter, to quantify how much her husband was worth and has suggested that Mr Ruhan has failed to give ‘’full and frank disclosure’’ about how much money he has.
The hearing continues and is expected to run into next week.
