From a Divorced Girl Smiling reader: I hate my ex husband.\u00a0 I know it is not good <\/em>to hold on to anger<\/a>.\u00a0 I have even emailed him and told him I forgive him <\/em>for what he did.\u00a0 I have tried really hard to forgive him.\u00a0 But deep down I <\/em>hate him and I can\u2019t let it go completely.\u00a0 If I see him driving around town and he waves at me, I will wave back.\u00a0 But I secretly want to flip him off and ram his truck with my car.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

I am my ex\u2019s second ex-wife if that says anything.\u00a0 When he was with his first wife they had children <\/a>together and he had a vasectomy.\u00a0 While we were dating we had a heart to heart and I told him I really wanted to be a mom.\u00a0 He said
\nif we got serious we could definitely adopt.\u00a0 <\/em>Fast forward a year after we
\nwere married I brought up the subject of adopting again.\u00a0 He told me he
\nlied to me and never had any attention of adopting that if I wanted to
\nleave him I could that he would understand.\u00a0 (I should have!). <\/em>He was very verbally abusive and said horrible hateful things to me.\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

I am now dating<\/a> an amazing guy who is night and
\nday different from my ex husband.\u00a0 But I just can\u2019t seem to let go of the
\nanger completely when it comes to my ex.\u00a0 Is that normal?\u00a0 Our divorce was final<\/a> last year. \u00a0As soon as we broke up he moved his new girl friend he cheated on me with into our home.\u00a0 I can\u2019t seem to let go completely with how bad he hurt me.<\/em><\/p>\n

Here is my advice for “I hate my ex-husband”<\/i><\/h2>\n

What a complete nightmare. What you\u2019ve been through sounds awful. I\u2019m so so sorry. You sound very angry with lots of resentment <\/a>and I want to validate you and say that you have every right to be.<\/p>\n
