He is in the midst of a nasty divorce battle with estranged wife Mel B.<\/p>\n

And Stephen Belafonte looked deep in thought as he returned from an evening out in West Hollywood on Friday.<\/p>\n

The 42-year-old, whose singer wife filed for divorce in March, was spotted having a drink with a pal at a dimly-lit bar.<\/p>\n

Stephen, who is father to Mel’s youngest child five-year-old daughter Madison, looked engrossed in his phone as he left the bar solo.<\/p>\n

And whipping out a cigarette, he headed to his car, drawing the evening to a close. \u00a0<\/p>\n

This comes following reports that Stephen’s quest for spousal support from Mel B has been delayed again after a judge pushed back their hearing until the end of the month.<\/p>\n

Stephen, who currently is said to have no income, is said to have racked up $60,000 in credit card debts and is in desperate need of support from the former Spice Girl, 42.<\/p>\n

But Mel’s lawyers argued that coming to a financial agreement was premature because of the money she spent getting a restraining order against him – which Stephen may have to cover part of, TMZ <\/a>reports.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Unfortunately for Stephen, who is said to be homeless at the moment, the judge agreed and rearranged the hearing until the end of June.<\/p>\n

TMZ<\/a> previously reported that the film producer was kicked out of his family house following the break-up, while the messy divorce has cost him $500,000 in earnings.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Last month Stephen Belafonte took to Instagram to share posts which appeared to break his silence on the latest in his divorce from Mel B – as he claimed: ‘The most dangerous liars think they’re telling the truth’.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

Following the reports, Stephen took to the photo-sharing site to post an array of quotes, shortly before sharing an image of his daughter Madison, with whom he is only allowed supervised visits following a ruling earlier this month, as she hugged a TV baring his image.<\/p>\n

In March, it was announced that Stephen and Mel were splitting after 10 years of marriage, after which a messy and acrimonious divorce is publicly playing out.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, it was revealed Stephen has been granted supervised visitation rights to see his five-year-old daughter Madison, following his split with Mel – a fact he hinted at in his influx of posts, his first social media activity since April 2.<\/p>\n

Mel B had previously obtained a restraining order against Stephen, claiming he was ‘dangerous’ due to his connections with criminals and the porn industry.\u00a0<\/p>\n

A judge ruled that he can see Madison but only in the confines of a counselling centre with a court monitor present.<\/p>\n

The shot he posted saw the tot squeezing her face up and hugging a screen showing his image while he added a caption on the shot reading: ‘Sometimes you stay quiet for obvious reasons!! #thequietbeforethestorm’.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Atop his picture on Madison, he also took to Instagram to share posts including: ‘I\u2019d rather be an honest a**hole, than a well liked LIAR…#facts #thequietbeforethestorm #truth #wow #mustbetwotruths.’<\/p>\n

Earlier in the day, the plot thickened as TMZ claimed Stephen’s divorce papers have given insight into his spousal demands.<\/p>\n

He has reportedly claimed: ‘We lived a very comfortable, upper-class lifestyle. Money was never an obstacle.’\u00a0<\/p>\n

The site claims the producer claims to have a $60,000 balance on a credit card which he is struggling to pay off.<\/p>\n

Stephen claims Mel is making ‘$220,000 and $250,000 a month’ after making a whopping $1.587million from her America’s Got Talent contract.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Additionally he claims she makes $300,000 a year from her contract with nutrition company Jenny Craig.<\/p>\n

While he was granted access to Madison, Stephen lost his battle to regain contact with Mel’s daughter Angel, who was born three months before the pair’s wedding in 2007.<\/p>\n

Following the hearing in late April, Mel’s lawyer Larry Bakman immediately opposed giving Belafonte visitation rights, as he branded him a ‘convicted domestic violence offender’ with an ‘extensive criminal history’.<\/p>\n

He went on to claim that Stephen had been ‘involved in adult pornography’ and the ‘importation of women from other countries’ to work in the industry as well as ‘possible money laundering’.<\/p>\n

Melfiled for divorce on March 20 and\u00a0said in court papers that she was the victim of ‘multiple physical beatings’ at the hands of her husband.<\/p>\n

She also claimed he threatened to ‘destroy’ her career by releasing sex tapes of her. Lawyers for Stephen have branded the allegations ‘outrageous and unfounded’, and ‘nothing more than a smear campaign’\u00a0<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Mel has also secured a five-year restraining order against the couple’s former nanny Lorraine Gilles.<\/p>\n

She claims Gilles had an affair with her husband and Stephen and got pregnant by him, so filed a declaration in court saying the nanny had ‘harassed’ her, according to a report by TMZ .<\/p>\n

Gilles, 26, has alleged she had regular sexual encounters with Melanie Brown and Belafonte over a seven-year period after being hired to care for their children.\u00a0<\/p>\n
