They\u2019ve been separated since 2017, and today Paul Hollywood<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s wife Alex gave her first TV interview since the split.<\/p>\n

The mum-of-one, who was married to the Great British Bake Off star for 19 years, appeared on This Morning<\/strong><\/a> to give her side of the story.<\/p>\n

Last month, reports emerged that Alex had come face-to-face with Paul\u2019s current girlfriend, 23 -year-old Summer Monteys-Fullam.<\/p>\n

The pair allegedly had a spat in Marks & Spencer on Valentine\u2019s Day which led to the police being called.<\/p>\n

Days later, Summer\u2019s mother released a video where she gave their version of events.<\/p>\n

And now Alex has rubbished claims that she used bad language or called the police.<\/p>\n

Speaking to hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, Alex said: \u2018I would like to say that the many reports in the papers about this so-called spat, fight\u2026 I can categorically say I did not say those things. I did not call the police to M&S.<\/p>\n

\u2018All of the stories that the media have ran are so far from the truth, that I don\u2019t even want to comment on them at all.<\/p>\n

\u2018There was no row, I did not use that language,\u2019 the cook added.<\/p>\n

At the beginning of her interview, Phillip, 56, admitted: \u2018This has been a legal nightmare,\u2019 in regards to getting Alex to appear on the ITV show.<\/p>\n

The TV host admitted that Alex\u2019s lawyers, Paul\u2019s lawyers and Summer\u2019s lawyers had all been involved.<\/p>\n

Speaking about the breakdown of her marriage to Paul, Alex explained: \u2018Divorce is such a hard thing. It\u2019s a really difficult thing. Its even more difficult if you\u2019re going through it in the public eye.<\/p>\n

\u2018I totally get the media interest, but my son looks to me to show him how to deal with this, to get through his and I would never do anything to embarrass him or compromise his trust.\u2019<\/p>\n

Alex added: \u2018There\u2019s been a lot of things that have been said that have no bearing on my marriage to Paul or my divorce. I\u2019m trying to get divorced, I want to move on.<\/p>\n

\u2018I want to be happy at the end of the day, I want to be settled and happy.\u2019<\/p>\n

When asked by Holly if she wants the same for Paul, Alex replied: \u2018Yes of course, he\u2019s the father of my son.\u2019<\/p>\n

And when asked by Phillip if she still has communication with the famous baker, Alex simply answered: \u2018I think that\u2019s a question best put to Paul\u2026\u2019<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
