Why Some People Recover From Divorce And Others Stay Stuck
We all know that divorce, especially high conflict divorce, can be devastating. Some men and women are so traumatized, that it takes them years to recover from divorce. Really high conflict divorces have even been known to cause post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Yet, while some men and women struggle to survive, others thrive. Instead of experiencing post traumatic stress, some people actually seem to experience post traumatic growth! 9-1-1: If you ever divorce, Michael is the ex you want
Athena had doubts about her relationship with Bobby in 9-1-1 Season 2. Michael proved he is certainly the ex you want if you ever get divorced. Not all marriages work out. 9-1-1 brought us that fact immediately in the first season. Michael admitted to Athena that he was gay and it was time that he got the chance of happiness with the man he loved. It was hard at first, but the two-hour premiere last week proved that if you’re going to get divorced, Michael is the ex you want. I felt for Athena in the first season, but at the […]

Home > News Law Society publishes LASPO review subsmission Public access to the justice system has never been so restricted, the Law Society has warned as it filed its submission to government, highlighting the “devastating consequences” of cuts to publicly funded legal advice. We hope that as we consciously uncouple and coparent, we will be […]
How To Handle Money With Your Ex After Divorce
Disagreements about money can put stress on a marriage — something I learned the hard way. As my ex and I went through our divorce, though, we managed to solve our problems and come up with an amicable solution that left us both satisfied, focusing on the wellbeing of our son and giving us both a solid new start. However, even with custody and child support figured out, as well as issues like who’d pay for my son’s travel to visit his dad and whose health insurance plan our son would be covered by, we were surprised to discover that […]
Shared ownership: Problems halved or doubled?
Image copyright Thomas Paris Image caption Thomas Paris says that shared ownership suited his circumstances Thomas Paris was fed up. He was living in a “horrible ground floor flat” in Bristol and paying rent to a landlord with little inclination to spruce up the one-bedroom home. “I was sick of asking for things to be done to make it an environment we could live in,” he says. So he sat down with his partner at the time and looked at their finances. His: a mature student’s maintenance grant and income from a part-time job. Hers: a full-time salary. While they […]

The Marriage Foundation says that the drop is almost entirely a […]
