Ant McPartlin was reportedly told off by a judge after he failed to show up to his own divorce hearing.

The 42-year-old is said to have been called out for his absence by Mr Justice Mostyn and allegedly told that he couldn’t use his fame as an excuse.

Ant was allegedly put in his place after reportedly not joining his lawyers for a preliminary hearing at London’s High Court.

Talking to QC, Ant’s barrister Jonathan Southgate claimed: ‘There isn’t one law for the famous and one for the rest of the community.

‘The rules say he was supposed to be here, and that can be reported. He has been told off.’

Ant’s reps told Metro.co.uk: ‘Ant was advised by his media barrister that he didn’t need to attend court today.

‘There was absolutely no intent to disrespect the court.’

The publication reported that Ant may have been excused by the judge if he had contacted the court in advance with a reason for his absence.

It seems that while the hearing was taking place, Ant was out walking his dog, as he was pictured all wrapped up with his pet pooch, Hurley.

The Saturday Night Takeaway star braced the weather as he went on a stroll with the Labrador near his home in south London.

He could be seen wearing a blue and red raincoat, which he’s paired with a matching navy cap.

Lisa Armstrong however, looked as though she meant business as she arrived at court.

The 42-year-old kept her shades firmly on as she arrived, in a navy pinstripe dress and heeled boots, complete with a matching coat.

An insider previously told the Mirror: ‘It is amicable and things are moving forward.

‘Ant wants it done as quickly and fairly as possible, so they can move on with their lives.’

The ITV star announced their split at the beginning of the year, and has since started dating PA Anne-Marie Corbett.

Metro.co.uk have reached out to Ant’s reps for comment.
